Greenhouses | Urban Gardening

Top 5 Reasons to Choose Sprung

  • Engineered for Even the Most Extreme Climates - Enjoy peace of mind: Sprung structures are engineered to withstand extreme weather conditions.

  • Immediate Delivery from Inventory - Fabric tensioned structures can complete projects in a much shorter time-frame than conventional construction.

  • Limited to No Foundation Requirements – Structures can be easily anchored to existing asphalt or raw earth.

  • Airtight - Air loss within a Sprung structure can be said to be almost zero due to the type of wall construction used. The entire building structure has been specifically designed to prevent air flow while maintaining strong structural integrity.

  • Low Weight- Thanks to the lightweight aluminum construction, a Sprung greenhouse is ideal for "Urban Gardening". Heavy conventional greenhouses cannot used on roof tops, due to the limited roof load capacity of most buildings.

Waterford Farmsneeded a new building to house their new state of the art shrimp farm. One of the most important factors was a stable climate, the temperature had to be adjustable within a deviation of 3 to 4 degrees. Due to the open water tanks in the shrimp farm, there is high humidity inside the structure, so the requirements for thecorrosion resistancehigh.

The efficient insulation of the instaPlex structure by Sprung, as well as the corrosion resistance of the aluminum structure, are superior to a steel building solution in all respects, as the experience of Waterford Farms proves.

AQUAPONICS

Aquaponics can produce up to 6 times more food in the same area than traditional farming methods. Fish rank first in the world, when it comes to converting plant protein into animal protein.

Aquaponics can produce around 23,000 kg of cichlids and around 46,000 kg of vegetables per year on a single hectare. In contrast, a grass-fed cow requires about twenty acres of grassland to achieve the same nutritional value. Aquaponics does not use any pesticides or herbicide chemicals.

No chemical pesticides can be used as the fish would not survive. For this reason, food produced with aquaponics is pesticide-free and healthy food.

Aquaponics can be used literally EVERYWHERE, even on unused parking lots, on flat roofs, etc. Aquaponics can be used in urban gardening projects at the highest level, high-yield, sustainable, profitable and competitive consumer prices are not wishful thinking but are becoming a reality.
